Getting Started
VideoScribeFree

VideoScribe is an animation software that allows instructors to create animation videos on a virtual whiteboard. Instructors can choose from an extensive library of shapes, images and text fonts, customize the animations, and add voiceovers and soundtracks.

Note: if your computer only meets the minimum system requirements you may experience some slow performance. For a smoother experience please ensure your system meets or exceeds the recommended requirements.

Microsoft Windows (PC)

To run VideoScribe on a PC you need at least:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 or higher
  • 4GB of available RAM
  • An X86-compatible processor or Intel Atom 1.6GHz (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Phenom II processor recommended)
  • A screen that can handle 1024x768 resolution (1280x720 resolution recommended)
Getting Started

Mac OSX/macOS

To run VideoScribe on a Mac you need at least:

  • OSX 10.7 or higher / macOS 10.12 or higher (must be using at least VideoScribe v3.5.2-18 or higher if you are using MacOS 10.15 or higher)
  • 4GB of available RAM
  • An intel 1.83GHz processor (Multicore Intel Processor recommended)
  • A screen that can handle 1024x768 resolution (1280x720 resolution recommended)

Notes for all operating systems

  • An internet connection is required to login to the application for the first time and also to access the online resources in the image and music library
  • Voiceover recording requires an internal or external microphone
  • VideoScribe is compatible on 32-bit and 64-bit systems
