DirectNet

DirectNet is a high-speed network connectivity service available on the UBC campus.

It is an affordable solution for an on-campus commercial or departmental user who are not part of an existing larger campus network. DirectNet allows unlimited, 24/7 access to the campus network and the internet, without the hassles of dialing in and the frustrations of slow download speeds.

DirectNet is suited for small commercial or departmental groups who need a connection to the campus network and do not currently have a campus high-speed connection. It is also suitable for people located in facilities that require extensive cable and/or wiring upgrades in order for a LAN-based backbone internet connection to be feasible.

This service is also an option for construction trailers on campus.
