mySiteVPN

mySiteVPN is a site-to-site VPN service providing secure connectivity over the Internet between Point Grey campus and remote UBC offices. VPN extends the network at Point Grey to the remote site allowing faculty and staff to securely work off-campus with the same access to resources as if they were on-campus. mySiteVPN provides seamless network experience to faculty and staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Requirements and Eligibility

A VPN router (supplied by UBC IT) is deployed at the remote site and connects to the main VPN router at Point Grey via a secure IPsec tunnel over the Internet.

Internet access must be available at the remote site through a local Internet Service Provider (ISP) such as Shaw, Telus, Bell, etc.
