M365 @ UBC Student Migration

UBC has successfully migrated all active student emails from the UBC Student Email system to Microsoft Exchange Online, part of the powerful Microsoft 365 suite. This transition brings you a modernized, secure, and feature-rich email experience designed to support your academic journey.

 

 

Migration Timeline

Migration Dates:

  • Active Students: Successfully migrated to Microsoft Exchange Online as of March 15, 2025.
  • Alumni: To be communicated separately.

What This Means for You:

  • You need to update your mobile and desktop email settings to use Exchange Online.
  • Your email address (cwl@student.ubc.ca) stays the same.
  • After migration, access your email via outlook.office.com using your UBC Student Email address and CWL password.

  1. After Migration
    • Log in to outlook.office.com with your UBC Student Email address and CWL password.
    • Update email settings on all devices using the guides below.
